Fire on the sets of ABCD2

Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor are busy shooting for their upcoming film,ABCD 2, which is being directed by Remo D’Souza. While the shoot of the film is currently underway, we hear that the makers have hit a setback of sorts with a fire breaking out on sets of the film.

Any Body Can Dance 2 was gutted in fire. Further to reports, the fire broke out in Goregaon's Filmcity on February 26, 2015, at 4:30 pm when Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor were perfecting their moves for Remo D'Souza's musical.

a fire broke out on the sets of ‘ABCD 2′ at Film City, on Thursday, while the team was shooting for a dance competition sequence which included both lead actors Varun and Shraddha along with numerous others. Thankfully everyone was evacuated with the fire brigade arriving on scene after half an hour. While no one was injured in the mishap, shooting is said to resume soon

"There were 700 junior artistes including several foreigners besides Varun, Shraddha, Lauren at the time," the report quoted Remo's assistant. Reportedly, the fire quickly escalated and the whole set, lit up by over a thousand, blinking blue LED lights, was up in flames before the fire engines turned up.

"We called the fire brigade immediately but it took them a while to arrive and by the time they doused the fire, the entire set was destroyed. Until 6 pm we could only see the thick smoke, but thankfully, no one was injured."
