Kaththi record breaking screen counts (Updated: 20/10/2014)

Vijay's Kaththi, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, is one of the most awaited films which is set to hit the screens for Diwali. The film is set to have a wide release. The theater booking is happening in full swing. Many screens have been booked already. In overseas, the film is set to release in record number of screens. Here is a list of the screen counts where Kaththi releases. 

USA: Kaththi's distribution rights has been bought by MM Media, the distributor is targeting about 105 screens for Kaththi in USA, so far they have booked around 90 screens for Kaththi. The 105 target screen counts doesn't includes Canada screens. Kaththi is likely to break the record of Kochadaiyaan, which was previously released in 104 screens in USA. But as of now, the movie is releasing only in 96 screens in USA.

UK & France: Ayngaran International, distributor of Kaththi in UK and France has confirmed that the movie will release in 70 screens in UK and 24 Screens in France. Kaththi sets a record in UK by releasing in 70 screens, previously Anjaan made a record by releasing in 58 screens.

Other Countries : In Australia the movie is about to get 20+ screens, however only 15 screens have been confirmed So far. Kaththi gets 120 screens in Malaysia (Yet to be confirmed), which is said to be highest no of screens for a Tamil movie.

India : Kaththi will be released in 400 + screens in Tamil Nadu alone. The final count on the screens will be updated in few days. In Kerala, Thameens has bought the distribution rights of the movie. The movie is set to release in 220 screens in Kerala.
