Director Shankar watched the movie VIP and appreciated Dhanush, Anirudh and Velraj. He felt the movie is lively and he enjoyed every bit of the movie. He also mentioned that VIP is a satisfying movie for the audience after a long time. He expressed his words of happiness in twitter
