Asha will play cop in Kamal's Dhrishyam remake

Sridevi and Ramya Krishnan were the names going rounds for doing the cop role in Dhrishyam Tamil remake. However it has been decided that Asha Sharath who done the same role in the original Malayalam version will do it in Tamil as well.  Interestingly, she also did the same character in the Kannada remake of Dhrishyam too. In her interview to a daily she mentioned "I will reprise the Geetha IPS in the Tamil remake of Dhrishyam as well, alongside Kamal Haasan."

The shooting for the movie will begin in August. Kamal's pair and other cast is yet to be finalized for this untitled movie. Meanwhile Kamal's Uttama Villain is gearing up for October release and Vishwaroopam2 in Post production stage.
