Kamal Haasan Speech and Anjaan Audio Launch Cancellation

Anjaan has been ramping up the promotions in anticipation for August 15 release. The team recently celebrated the 1 Million views on YouTube in a grand manner and hosted a press meet. First of its kind indeed. But, it is odd to note that a big budget movie, Anjaan, will not have a formal audio launch. Instead, the team will present the song visuals to press and media in Sathyam Cinemas on 22 July in a simple setting.

Reasons for Cancellation of Anjaan Audio Launch Event

The much expected audio launch of "Anjaan" has been cancelled due to uncertainties regarding the venue. The audio launch was announced to take place at the Chennai Trade Centre or Nehru Stadium on July 22nd. The production team had gone ahead and made announcements touting a grand event even before getting the permission from the state govt. for these venues. To everyone's surprise, the permission for Anjaan audio launch was refused without quoting any specific reasons. Kamal Hassan was planning to release the Anjaan audio. But, it is believed that the chief guest is also changed now. 

Did Kamal Haasan speech trigger the cancellation?

Kamal’s speech in a recent audio launch function expressing his dissatisfaction over the government not nurturing cinema is speculated to be one of the reasons for the audio launch cancellation. However Anjaan team has denied any connection to government in this regard putting an end to all speculations.
