Preview - Vaayai Moodi Pesavum and Yennamo Yedho

As many as four movies are releasing tomorrow, namely, Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, Yennamo Yedho, Ennamo Nadakuthu and lesser known Pongadi Neengalum Unga Kadhalum. This also means the screens will be shared by all these 4 movies, thereby, reducing their reach. Incidentally,  Tenali Raman, Naan Sigapppu Manithan and Maan Karate are still occupying major screens in the city. It would be interesting to see how the new films perform at the box-office.

Vaayai Mooodi Pesavum

  • Director Balaji Mohan, who is probably the role model for short film makers to enter into mainstream feature films, is back with his second film.
  • Dulquer Salmaan, son of Mammootty, is  making his debut in Tamil with this film, while Nazriya plays the leading lady. Incidentally, it  is her first film after her engagement.
  • Going by the trailer and other promo videos, the movie is touted to revolve around a fantasy element 'dumb flu', which means the people affected by that flu would lose their voice.

Yennamo Yedho

  • Yennamo Yedho is the remake of the hit Telugu film Ala Modalaindi. Directed by Ravi Thyagarajan, the movie has Gautham Karthik and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead.
  • After making his debut  with Mani Ratnam's Kadal, Gautham Karthik is hoping to taste the first commercial success with this flick.
  • In the technical front, couple of songs scored by Imman have impressed the music buffs.

Ennamo Nadakuthu

  • Vijay Vasanth of Chennai 28 and Nadodigal fame is playing a full-fledged hero for the second time, after his first film Mathil Mel Poonai bombing at the box office.
  • Touted to be an edge of the seat thriller, the movie has Rahman and Prabhu in central characters.

There is absolutely nothing we have heard about Pongadi Neengalum Unga Kadhalum yet. With four movies battling for screens, Vaayai Moodi Pesavum has the edge over others.  Initial reviews and word of mouth will decide the fate of these movies at the box office.
