Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal gets tax exemption

Udhayanidhi Stalin's second film Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal (IKK) hit the screens on February 14. The film censored with a clean 'U' certificate was denied entertainment tax exemption. Udhaynidhi Stalin had filed a case in the court in this regard to evaluate whether the film deserves entertainment exemption or not. The film has now been granted tax exemption. Udhay tweeted, "IKK finally gets entertainment tax exemption after fighting it out legally!"

The film is now eligible for 30tax exemption from the state. Udhaynidhi Stalin's earlier releases Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, Neer Paravai and Vanakkam Chennai were also denied tax exemption despite getting 'U' certificate and having film titles in Tamil.

Udayanidhi and Nayanthara played the lead roles in IKK directed by SR Prabhakaran. IKK was produced by Red Giant Movies.
