Today marks 14 years since Venkat Prabhu debuted as a director with Chennai 600028 and his fans are seen celebrating the occasion with the hashtag #14YearsofVP. Many of them have also been curious about the director's movies like Party, which has been ready for release for a while now but is not yet out.

Some exclusive updates for such curious fans about Venkat Prabhu's upcoming movies:

1. Party

 Produced by T. Siva of Amma Creations, Party was supposed to release in May, 2021 but COVID-19 played spoilsport. The movie will release once lockdown restrictions are eased. Party is sticking to its original plan of releasing in theaters and will not come out on OTT.

2. Maanaadu

Produced by Suresh Kamatchi, Maanaadu starring Simbu and Kalyani Priyan in the lead is nearing completion. Shooting of one song which will be a festival number, is pending and the team has completed recce in the Maldives for shooting an airport sequence. 7-10 days of filming remains for Maanaadu, which is simultaneously also in post-production. 

3. Venkat Prabhu-Ashok Selvan Movie

When Simbu had gone to shoot for Eeswaran during Maanaadu, Venkat Prabhu began a film with Ashok Selvan. The tentative title of the movie is said to be Manmadha Leelai. Currently Yuvan Shankar Raja and Premgi Amaren are said to be working on the music of this film.
