Suriya 36 not a revival of Kaan, film begins shooting at Chennai

Actor Suriya's upcoming film Suriya 36 (tentative title) with director Selvarghavan which is all set to hit big for Diwali this year, began shooting at Chennai earlier today. An update of the same was mentioned by the film's producer SR Prabhu, who also shared an image from the location.


 
Suriya 36 was earlier speculated to be a revival of Kaan, Selvaraghavan's formerly announced project with Simbu. However, it has now been clarified that Selvaraghavan has opted for a fresh script for Suriya with a lot of groundwork behind it. The movie is bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures and has Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh playing female leads. The technical crew of the film includes  Yuvan Shakar Raja for music, Sukumar Vijayan for cinematography, Vijay Murugan for production design and Prasanna G.K. for the edits.
