Thalapathy Vijay's sensational latest public appearance

Thalapathy Vijay doesn't make many public appearances of late. But when he does, there is absolute frenzy among his fans and the media. This is what happened at the Vikatan Awards yesterday night. Vijay came to receive the Best Actor Award for his work in Mersal. Kamal Haasan presented the award to Vijay and encouraged his 'thambi' by saying that he'll win many more such awards in future.

Vijay thanked one and all for standing by him during the controversies following his heated political dialogues in Mersal. He said that he was prepared to face such heat while mouthing those dialogues bravely. He also added that he felt happy to have won an award for a film that he did as a Tamizhan to promote Tamizh culture, just ahead of 'Tamizhar Thirunaal' (Pongal day). As expected, his appearance has been the talking point on social media since yesterday evening.
