If one may recall, when Harris Jayaraj was signed on for the now-shelved Karuppu Raja Vellai Raja, the hype around the film received a little extra attention due to the project being the composer's first with actor Karthi. Disappointment sure did ensue a bit, once it was clear that the combo was not materialising. Now, MovieCrow has learnt that the Harris - Karthi team up is indeed happening and it is for a film we had reported earlier with exclusive details.

The project which will mark Karthi - Harris' first film together will be directed by debutant Rajat, who was earlier an associate of director R. Kannan. The movie is touted to be an action-romance entertainer and is expected to begin by March, 2018, once Karthi completes his project Pandiraj. This yet unannounced film will be produced by Prince Pictures (which had earlier distributed Si 3 and will be seen presenting Trisha starrer Mohini) and has Rakul Preet Singh playing female lead.
