Sivakarthikeyan met a section of the press today in Chennai ahead of the release of Velaikkaran on December 22. Some interesting excerpts from this meet follow,

 

  • Sivakarthikeyan confirmed that after his Ponram film, he'll do a scifi film with Indru Netru Naalai fame director Ravikumar. This film will be technically really sound and will have the best names on board. 24 AM Studios will be producing this film as well. We have to see what happens to the announced Sivakarthikeyan - Vignesh ShivN film to be produced by Studio Green.

 

  • SK said that Velaikkaran would be out of his usual comfort zones in comedy, and that it'll be a serious film without any compromises like a separate comedy track. He also said that Velaikkaran has given him the confidence and motivation to take on similarly serious subjects in future too.
 
Like Remo, Velaikkaran will also have early morning FDFS (around 5am) on December 22. The film's runtime is said to be close to 2 hrs 45 mins and it was recently certified U.
