The Tamil Nadu Cinemas (Regulation) rules, 1957, was amended to incorporate these changes and they are not applicable for theatres in malls. AGS Cinemas, who had earlier reduced ticket rates for increasing footfalls, was one of the first theatres to bring these regulates charges into immediate effect.
As per the GO released yesterday #Ags cinemas will be charging Rs20 for cars and Rs 10 for two wheelers in our Tnagar and Villivakam properties. 1/2 @agscinemas

For Ags Navalur we have no say in parking charges as it is provided by the mall and the parking revenue goes to them. So they need to decide the tariff 2/2

However, Rohini Theatres' representative has been quoted by the media as finding this move "backward" and he has said, "I don’t think it is a good move because the price of real estate land is not same in different parts of the city..They should have considered the real estate prices...,”
