The first instalment of Sundar. C's two-part magnum opus, Sangamithra was last in the news for finalizing Bollywood import Disha Patani for the titular role. Now, we have learnt that the movie, which is a mega-budget project to be bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films has planned to begin shooting post April 14, 2018 i.e post Tamil New Year. In the mean-time lead actors Jayam Ravi and Arya will complete their projects with Home Movie Makers and Studio Green respectively.

  
Sangamithra is said to incorporate a lot of underwater sequences and has Baahubali concept artist Vishwanath Sundaram working on it.
