Kamal Haasan comes in support of Deepika Padukone


Recently, there has been a furore in Bollywood over inflammatory comments of Haryana's BJP leader Suraj Pal Amu, who has offered a bounty of Rs 10 crore to anyone beheading Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone and has threatened to break Ranveer Singh's legs. These threats have been issues in connection with the release of the trio's film Padmavati, which has now been postponed indefinitely. 

Adding to the list of celebrities who have extended their support to the leading lady Deepika, Tamil actor Kamal Haasan, who has in the past been vocal about the issues created by political parties for films (some of them his own) recently sent out a tweet wanting Deepika's head to be saved. He wrote :



Meanwhile, CBFC head Prasoon Joshi who is being blamed for refusing to quicken the certification process of Padmavati (as he had asked for 68 days given the kind of political and religious opposition for the film), too has condemned the violence in apparent reference to these death-threats.
