A R Rahman thanks Prasoon Joshi for Vijay's Mersal

On one hand, CBFC head Prasoon Joshi's name is being dragged for keeping mum on the Deepika Padukone starrer Padmavati release, on the other hand he was thanked by music legend A.R. Rahman for enabling the release of another film. If one may recall, Vijay starrer Mersal received huge opposition from the Animal Welfare Board, so much so that the film's release had become almost uncertain.

But according to this recent video released by the Oscar winning Rahman, it was Prasoon who made Mersal's U/A certification easy and made the Vijay starrer hit theatre screens as announced. Watch the video here :
