Ghibran to get the much-needed commercial recognition post the success streak of 2017?

Music composer Mohammad Ghibran, who debuted spectacularly with Vaagai Sooda Va in 2011 hasn't has an easy stroke of luck ever since. His musical genius was time and again subdued by the box-office results of the projects he signed and came alarmingly close to what would one term in film industries as the "unlucky mascot". Thanks to his persistence, lady luck finally decided to smile on this  Coimbatore-born musician and today his CV reeks of back-to-back success of Aramm and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru.

Commercial Struggle

If we do a little re-cap since his debut, Ghibran's music in films like Kutti PuliNaiyaandi and Thirumanam Enum Nikkah have been popular among the audience but it wasn't until 2015, when the music director actually received the limelight he deserved. By signing three consecutive movies with Kamal Haasan (Uttama VillainPapanasam and Thoongavanam), Ghibran was expected to soar in his popularity status but did not.

Success Streak in 2017

However, the year 2017 gave him the success streak he was yearning for, with the moderate hits like Adhey Kangal and Magalir Mattum and the commercial reach of Aramm and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru.

Given this much-expected commercial outcome, it will not come as a surprise if more directors and producers start queuing up for collaborating with Ghibran, who we hear was last at the receiving-end of some self-marketing advice from people around him (Tweet reference below)
