The audio launch of Vijay Antony's upcoming Annadurai, slated to release on November 30, was held in a grand manner at Sathyam Cinemas today morning. At the event, the first 10 minutes of the film were screened to great response from the gathered guests, media and fans. It looks like the film would be high on emotions and also mass appeal. Vijay Antony plays dual roles, and in the first 10 minutes, his character (Annadurai) is positioned as a socially responsible do-gooder, though he himself is a heavily bearded drunkard mourning the death of his lover.

Another novel aspect of the film is that all songs are already available for legal downloading on Vijay Antony's personal official website. The debut director Srinivasan (former associate to the likes of Vasantha Balan and Suseenthiran) expressed immense confidence that after the release, Annadurai would surely be considered among the 50 Best Tamil films of all time.
 
Vijay Antony also debuts as the editor of the film, along with being the hero and music director. He has another prospective winner in his hands, after the Blockbuster success of Pichaikkaran last year. Radhika Sarathkumar and Fatima Vijay Antony have jointly produced Annadurai, which will also simultaneously release as Indrasena in Telugu.
