Gopi Nainar Vs Pa. Ranjith : Aramm director issues statement

Gopi Nainar director Aramm hit theatre screens on November 10, 2017 and praises for the film have been pouring from all over, for the movie. Among the praise-showerers was director Pa. Ranjith who sent out this tweet.
This tweet seems to have rekindled talks of a speculated feud between Gopi Nainar and Pa. Ranjith. (There has been a long-floating rumour that Nainar sued Pa. Ranjith in court claiming ownership of the stories of Attakathi and Madras to be his). However, before the "talks" could escalate, Gopi Nainar has come forward with a press statement that reads as follows :

"Director Ranjith and I travel towards the same destination when it comes to advancements in social politics and advancements. However, out of affection certain well-wishers have started registering personal thoughts. This is not a healthy situation. Friends, I welcome critical responses for creativity. Director Ranjith and I have a lot of work and responsibilities towards this society. Importantly, both of us have a compulsion to function as one team. Only then, this strength will become the reason for uniting everyone.Hence, I will not allow any thoughts to be registered that could potentially cause difficulty to this relationship. If the statements registered by well-wishers have hurt anyone's sentiments, then I send my sympathies to them."
