Does Indrajith Trailer remind you of Indiana Jones 4?

In case you missed, the trailer of Gautham Karthik starrer Indrajith was released by director A.R. Murugadoss at the beginning of the bygone weekend. And those who have watched the trailer would agree that the trailer has a certain Indiana Jones feel to it (Indrajith is said to be an adventure-fantasy, very much like the Indiana Jones series and even has a dialogue reference of the film in it). While all this is generic, certain specifics of the trailer couldn't help but let us draw close comparisons between it and the last edition of the said Spielberg directorial, Indiana Jones 4 aka Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

 
  • For instance, in Indiana Jones 4 a renowned archaeologist teams up with a young man; in Indrajith Sudhanshu Pandey's character (the archaelogist) teams up with Gautham Karthik's (the young man). 
  • The waterfalls which forms the major highlight of Indrajith's trailer is extremely similar to the one we got to see in the trailer of Indiana Jones 4. Of course, Indrajith was shot in India and Indiana Jones 4 wasn't. 
  • It is impossible to miss the Jeep chase sequence in the trailer of Indrajith, which again is extremely similar to the one found in the Kingdom of Crystal Skull. 
  • And lastly, the one tiny similarity that almost went unnoticed was the showcase of tribal men in both Indrajith and IJ4 , which is a reference to the past of the treasure being hunted.

 

Despite the similarities, it is too early to tell if Indrajith is inspired from its compared counterpart, The film hits theatre screens on November 24, 2017 and is written and directed by Kalaprabhu.
