Tamil movie releases for Pongal 2018

The biggest Tamil holiday has quite a few number of films lined up for a release. While only time can tell how many of them would actually make it to the theatres on the said date i.e. January 14, 2018, here's a look at the interesting prospects in the meantime include Suriya's Thaana Serntha Kootam, Vikram's Sketch, Vishal's Irumbu Thirai, Venkat Prabhu's Party and Vimal's Mannar Vagaiyara.

Actor-producer Suresh Kumar's film Billa Pandi is also expected to be in the race for Pongal releases. However, an official word from the team still awaited.

Update (November 7, 2017)

While the makers of Thaana Serntha Kootam, Irumbu Thirai and Mannar Vagaiyara have confirmed their film's release during the Pongal holidays, a word on whether or not Sketch and Billa Pandi would join the race is still awaited.

Update (December 15, 2017)

With 2017 coming to an end, the list of Pongal releases have seen a drastic change. Drop-outs include Vishal's Irumbu Thirai (which will now be releasing on Republic day), Vimal starrer Mannar Vagaiyara, Venkat Prabhu's Party and Billa Pandi. The updated list of releases can be seen below :
