Mersal's popularity soars, opens early morning weekday shows

The Diwali holiday weekend might have given Mersal a head-start boost to its business, but it is really the controversy shrouding the film's GST dialogues that has made the film all the more demanding. Giving in to these demands, theatres in Tamil Nadu have opened early morning shows during the weekends for the first time in a long while. 

The said Chennai based theatres are screening shows at 8. 15 AM and 8.30 AM for today and tomorro. i.e. October 23, 2017 and October 24, 2017 due to the overwhelming demand. The star-driven film had crossed Rs. 50 crore + on day 3 and is making a lot of noise in terms of box-office collections in the overseas market as well (read about it here). 

Starring Vijay, Nithya Menon, Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha Akkineni, Mersal is directed by Atlee and produced by Sri Thenandal Films. The film has music by A.R. Rahman.
