2.0 AD accuses Lyca Productions of non-payment

As it is turns out, it seems to be a season of controversies for the Tamil film fraternity, that is Kollywood. After the Mersal debacle, another much-in-the-limelight film has been subject to a controversial accusation. Murali Manohar, the AD (associate director) of Rajinikanth's upcoming Rs.400 crore budget 2.0, has accused Lyca Productions (the producers) of non-payment of dues. The AD who has worked with Shankar in Nanban and I as well, posted a series of social media posts that said (translated from Tamil) :

"There is no point in waiting anymore. All media-people and friends know that since last December, I have taken-up the full responsibility of the dubbing work of 2.0 (the film) and been working on it. During dubbing, Rajini sir personally spoke to me and that had become news as well. I am not the one to spread anything for the sake of news.

After tolerating a lot, I am registering this with an extremely heavy heart.

No matter how much I pleaded citing "My wife is 5 months pregnant " - "My son Marudhan has fever", only I was not given the salary for last month. I am still working this month too. Even after telling the truth, there has no been no answer from anyone.

If even a bit of effort I took in hiding the expressed displeasure from the media had been reciprocated, I would have gotten the salary for the work I have been doing for #2Point0. My deepest condoloences #Lyca"

After this emotional outburst, Murali Manohar went on to reveal in the comments section that such instances have happened before as well. And when people tried to school him on how these posts could affect his future in the films, the AD went on to angrily add :

"If I have to live such a low-life and make films, the I do not need such a *insert swear word*. I know how to do my film. I will raise my voice for the rights...And that is also for associate directors like you... (This is for those who  opine "oh my god..brother..consider your future and speak" like Lollu Sabha Manohar) "
