Mersal gets NOC from AWBI, all set to release for Diwali

Earlier today, we had reported about the impending no-objection certificate (NOC), team Mersal was awaiting from the AWBI (Animal Welfare Board India). Latest update is that the film has been issued one and is all set to hit theatre screens from October 18, 2017. 

 

To say that this 100th production of Sri Thenandal Films has kept them on the toes would be an understatement. Be it the legal battle for title, the unexpected stills leak or this CBFC and AWBI issue, the producers seem to have dealt everything with grace. We hope the film goes on to do justice for all that the team has undergone. 


Starring Vijay in a triple role, Mersal has been directed by Atlee and will have an USA premiere on the 17th of October.
