The successful Vijay-Atlee combo team is back with Mersal, which is all set to hit the screens for Diwali and is expected to have a premiere in the US on October 17,2017. Check out what to expect from the film.

Vijay's multiple screen persona

Going by the teaser, Vijay seems to have adapted different voice modulation and body language for the different roles he plays. This could serve as a major plus point for hooking the audience to his film. Needless to add his multiple roles in the film would sure be a treat to watch as well.

Atlee - The second time director

Mersal is directed by Atlee, who claims to have for addressed an universal issue through this film. Also this is the first time he is working with a star-studded cast and crew at such a big scale. It would also be interesting to see what he has churned out for his second time association for Vijay.

Magic Tricks without Visual Gimmicks

Mersal is not your regular magic - tricks inclusive film. Three international professional magicians have trained Vijay for this movie and according to the makers all of Vijay's tricks in the film are genuine and have not been botched up with visual effects.

SJ Suryah's Villainous Streak

The movie has SJ Suryah for a villain who was recently lauded for his dark act in SPYder. As an actor known for his dependable performance, we expect him show versatatlity with back-to-back negative roles.

Technical Strength

The movie has Atlee's regular Reuben for editing. G.K Vishnu for Cinematography. Added to this legendary Baahubali writer Vijendra Prasad and star composer A.R. Rahman, serve as the cherry on the cake.

Following Theri, Mersal might become another blockbuster for Vijay-Atlee combo if they tick all the right boxes. We'll be back with the FDFS review.
