Rajkumar Rao's Newton to be sent to the Oscars
In a startling development, actor Rajkumar Rao starrer Newton that was released earlier today, has been announced as the official selection for India's entry at the Oscars. The film which is about a Indian government clerk on election duty, shows how he tries to conduct a hassle-free voting in a conflict-ridden naxalite area.
Produced by Dhrishyam films, Newton is written and directed by Amit V Masurkar. The film also starrs Pankaj Tripathi and Anjali Patil who are making waves down South by starring in Kaala opposite Rajinikanth.
