Producers of Velaikkaran announce new release date

As reported by us a week ago, (read about it here) the makers of actor Sivakarthikeyan starrer Velaikkaran which is directed by Mohan Raja have confirmed that their film been postponed from the earlier scheduled release date of September 29, 2017. 24 AM Studios, which is bankrolling the movie has also announced that the film will now hit theatre screens on December 22, 2017, just in time for the Christmas holiday weekend. Titled after a 90's Rajinikanth movie of the same name, Velaikkaran boasts of a star cast that also inlcudes Nayanthara, Fahad Fassil and Sneha. The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander.
