Latest on Sivakarthikeyan's Velaikkaran 

The teaser of Sivakarthikeyan starrer Velaikkaran which is directed by Mohan Raja has been through a lot in the by-gone week. The makers of the movie received a notice from the Producer's council for publishing a full-page ad in a leading newspaper, as it is said to be against the norms of the council. While speculations are rife that a fine of Rs. 1 crore has been slammed on the producers, the team's side have rubbished the fine amount. Then the teaser release of the film went on to reveal the many shades to the bond Sivakarthikeyan and actor Fahad Fassil share in the movie, who are said to play friends-turned-enemies. Apart from this, it has been confirmed that character artiste Charlie plays Sivakarthikeyan's father in the film. 

Titled after a 90's Rajinikanth movie of the same name, Velaikkaran boasts of a star cast that also includes Nayanthara and Sneha, with music by Anirudh Ravichander and production by 24 AM Studios. The film is expected to hit theatre screens on September 29, 2017.
