2.0 producers to present AR Murugadoss's Spyder

The distribution rights of director AR Murugadoss' heavily budgeted multi-lingual Spyder has been acquired by industry giant Lyca Productions. This announcement has truly come as a surprise to many as the production head Raju Mahalingam had earlier announced that their company was not too keen on taking up any new projects due to the GST and double tax imposition. However, this seems like good news for the Rs.110 crore budgeted film, which will introduce Mahesh Babu to the Tamil silverscreen. 

Totued to be inspired from the 1960' film The Satan Bug, Spyder is based on bio-terrorism and has Mahesh Babu playing an uber cool intelligence officer. Also starring SJ Suryah, Bharath, Rakul Preet Singh, Nadiya and RJ Balaji, the film is produced by NVR Cinemas with music by Harris Jayaraj. Spyder hits theatre screens on September 27, 2017.
