Varun Dhawan in remake of Chhoti Si Baat?

News about a possible remake of 1976 film ‘Chhoti Si Baat’ has been confirmed recently as BR Chopra’s grandson Kapil is going ahead with a modern take. It’s being said that none other than Varun Dhawan is being considered for the film.

“We are planning to remake one of our films Chhoti Si Baat. We are in the final stage of scripting. It had Ashok Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Amol Palekar, and it is one of the classic films. We discussed it with David [Dhawan] Sir, who read the script and gave his inputs,” said Kapil, according to Asian Age.

However, when asked about approaching Dhawan, he said, “It’s too early, but we are open to the idea. I think content works at the end of the day. Hence, everyone is very content-driven, and I think it’s a good thing”.

It remains to be seen whether Dhawan does bag the role.
