Dhanush starrer VIP 2 sets a new record 

Foĺlowing Ajith's Vivegam, Dhanush starrer VIP 2 has broken a new record in the category of music streaming. VIP 2 recently became the fastest album to have received 2 million streams and the time it took was a meagre 5 days. Speaking about this tremendous milestone, Prashan Aggarwal, COO of Gaana was quoted as saying, 

"Tamil is one of the largest regional languages by music consumption on Gaana...VIP 2's mega success and the record streams further strengthen our belief that music streaming penetration and usage in the regional markets will continue to grow at a much faster rate,"

An ecstatic Dhanush on the other hand was seen attributing his audience for this success. He said :
