Mouni Roy to begin shooting for Akshay Kumar's Gold in August?

Mouni Roy will finally make her Bollywood debut along with Akshay Kumar. Mouni Roy is currently busy with the shoot of the second season of Naagin, after which she will begin filming for her big Bollywood debut.

According to Mumbai Mirror, the film will have predominantly male characters as the hockey team but Roy will be one of the very few female characters. She is said to have most of her scenes with Kumar. A source told the publication, “”It is scripted by Rajesh Devraj and is a fictional take on the momentous game. Hockey will feature prominently in the plot but it is a strong human drama. Gold follows 12 crucial years in India’s history as well”.

‘Gold’ will also star Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor, and is directed by Reema Kagti.
