Baahubali distributors bag Rajinikanth - Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0

 

The Hindi distribution rights of Rajinikath's trilingual 2.0 has been sold to Anil Thadani of AA Films who also distributed the Hindi version of Baahubali 2. The deal is said to have closed at an approximate cost of Rs. 80 crore and this is the second official deal of the film after Zee TV famously bought their all language satellite rights for a whopping Rs.110 crore. This pegs the film's recovery cost already to Rs. 190 crore. 


Produced by Lyca productions, 2.0 is a sequel to director Shankar's earlier venture Enthiran and is expected to hit theatre screens in the second half of 2018. A few days ago, images from the movie featuring Rajinikanth and his co-star Amy Jackson made it to the public eye confirming that Jackson played a robot too in the film. The movie also has Akshay Kumar playing the role of an evil scientist named Dr. Richard in it.
