Vijay Sethupathi to play a politician in his next

Actor Vijay Sethupathi is one busy man these days filming projects like 96 (with Prem Kumar), Aneethi Kathaigal (with Thiagarajan Kumaraja), Karuppan (with Paneer Selvam), Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren (with Arumuga Kumar) and his very special 25th project Seethakathi (with Balaji Tharaneetharan). Apart from this interesting line-up of shoots, he also has a couple of projects that are still on the drawing board. This includes National award winning director Seenu Ramasamy's upcoming venture Mamanithan and if reports are anything to go by then Vijay Sethupathi will be seen donning the role of a politician from the South. The script of Mamanithan is yet to be finalized but given that the lead actor's earlier ventures with the director (Dharmadurai, Thenmerku Paruvakaatru) have proved to be content driven hits, it is safe to assume no less from Mamanithan as well. 

Mamanithan is said to start rolling from the second half of this year and it is Vijay Sethupathi's fourth time collaboration with Seenu Ramasamy. The movie will be bankrolled by musician turned producer Yuvan Shankar Raja and an official announcement on the rest of the cast and crew is expected to be made soon.
