Team Velaikkaran wraps shooting in Malaysia 

Actor Sivakarthikeyan's movie with director Mohan Raja which is titled Velaikkaran (after a 1987, SP Muthuraman film featuring Rajinikanth) has recently wrapped its shooting in Malaysia. This Malaysian schedule wrap comes days ahead of the movie's first look release, which is to happen on June 5, 2017. Touted be a complete entertainer, the film is the 3rd directorial venture of Mohan Raja to be shot at Malaysia and is said revolve around the hero's fight against the issue of food adulteration.

Velaikkaran began shooting in late last year and is being bankrolled under 24AM Studios. The movie has an ensemble cast of Nayanthara, Sneha, Fahad Fassil, Prakash Raj, RJ Balaji, Satish and yesteryear actress Rohini. With music by Anirudh Ravichander, the film is slated for a release during the pooja holidays this year i.e. September 29, 2017.
