Music fans are in for a great treat. It is difficult to remember in the recent past when so many talented musicians were ready to release their music albums within a short span of one month. The line-up of musicians include AR Rahman, Yuvan, GV Prakash, Anirudh, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Devi Sri Prasad, and Vijay Antony who are ready with their much awaited album(s). A total of 9 albums are scheduled to release within the next 15 days. 

 

Bala’s Paradesi will have its audio launch on November 25^th at Sathyam Cinemas. G. V. Prakash is teaming up with Bala for the first time and Pragathi of ‘Super Singer’ fame has sung a song for the film. The movie might bring out a different dimension from G. V. Prakash as Bala’s movies are intense and strikingly different. Lyrics by Vairamuthu are expected to be hard-hitting.

Haridas is directed by GNR Kumaravelan with Sneha and Kishore in the lead. The music is composed by Vijay Antony.

 

3. Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal (December 1, 2012)

Music: Yuvan

Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal is directed by Vasanth, who is known for extracting best music out of his music directors. Yuvan has worked on this album for 7 months and the team is classifying the style of music as "Post Modern" and dub-step track. Lyrics written by Na. Muthukumar.

 

4. Vishwaroopam (December 2, 2012)

The audio launch of Kamal Haasan’s magnum opus Vishwaroopam was initially slated to be held on November 7^th, but was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. Now, the buzz is that the audio launch will take place on December 2^nd at Nehru stadium. Kamal Haasan has penned the lyrics for 2 songs (Tamil version) and he has crooned three songs. Vairamuthu has written the lyrics for rest of the songs.

 

5. Sattam Oru Iruttarai (December 5, 2012)

Debutante director Sneha Britto (Actor Vijay's niece) will launch the audio of her Sattam Oru Iruttarai. The music is by Vijay Antony. The team is planning audio release in 4 colleges followed by a grand function in Chennai on December 5.

This is definitely the most expected album of the year. ‘Nenjukulle’ song, which was performed by A.R. Rahman has become a rage among music lovers already. Contrary to the reports, the audio might not be released on 23th November as film’s leading lady Thulasi Nair had announced. All the songs have been written by Vairamuthu and Madhan Karky.

 

8. Ethir Neechal (December second week, 2012)

Kolaveri fame Anirudh is ready with his next album after "3". Ethirneechal is Dhanush's home production with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. The industry is expecting this talented music director to unleash a few chart toppers.

Madha Gaja Raja is Sundar C.'s movie with Vishal. Vijay Antony is joining hands with Sundar C. who has delivered some foot tapping hits in his previous movies.

Settai is a remake of Delhi Belly with Santhanam, Arya and Premji. Thaman is expected to have come up with good music and Lyrics is by Karky. The movie has been announced as Pongal release by UTV.

 

11. Samar (December 2012 - Yet to be announced)

Music : Yuvan 

Samar, starring Vishal and Trisha is expected to be a racy entertainer. The trailer has come out very well and it is going to be launched in a grand manner soon. Sony Music has bagged the audio rights of Samar and official announcement regarding the audio launch is expected to be out soon. Lyrics by Na. Muthukumar.

 

12. Thanga Meengal (December 2012 - Yet to be announced) 

Music : Yuvan

Thanga Meengal is directed and acted by Ram of "Katradhu Tamil". The movie is produced by Gautham Menon. The audio is much awaited and long delayed movie is expected due to Yuvan's combination with Director Ram.

 

Other movies including Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum, Sonna Puriyadhu, Rendavathu Padam, Naan Rajavaga Pogiren and David are also waiting in the wings. We should also assume a few of the above albums may pull out in the last minute. Given the talent of the music directors, Tamil music fans will be treated with at least a dozen of solid chart topper songs from this upcoming audio release season.
