Sathyaraj apologizes for his anti-Kannada comments made 9 years ago  

A few weeks back, pro-Kannada outfits seeked ban on Baahubali 2 in Karnataka condemning Sathyaraj calling 'Kannadigas as dogs' during Kaveri issue which happened many years ago. Further, they demanded that the actor apologize to the people of Karnataka to ensure the smooth release of Baahubali 2. 

As the release date of Baahubali 2 is nearing, the actor has now opened up about the controversy. He apologized to the people of Karnataka via a video and he has also explained his stand on issues related to people of Tamil Nadu.    

The actor has conveyed that he is not against the people of Karnataka and he is now apologizing for the words he had used 9 years ago. Further, the actor explained that because of one actor (himself), thousands of people's efforts involved in making Baahubali 2 should not go in vain.  

Speaking about his stand on issues related to Tamil Nadu, the actor assured that he will continue to voice his opinions actively. He has also requested producers and filmmakers not to cast him in their films, if they feel that they would get into trouble.   

 The actor ended his speech by thanking the director and producer of Baahubali for the support they have during the troubled times.
