Latest Updates on Shankar - Rajinikanth's 2.0 

Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 which is the 400 crore-sequel to his earlier blockbuster Enthiran/Robo, is back generating a lot of buzz in industry. Ardent fans must be aware of various media outlets reporting that Rajinikanth will be seen essaying 5 different roles - Dr. Vaseegaran (the scientist), Chitti (the Robot), 2 dwarves and a villain. They also said that Akshay Kumar who plays the antagonist in the film will be seen playing 12 different roles. However, the media frenzy over this news was put to rest when director of the movie Shankar, opted to rubbish the reports.

The movie which is a mega-budgeted venture of Lyca Productions, is also in the news for becoming the 4th Indian film (after Bang Bang, Dangal and the yet to release Baahubali : The Conclusion) to be released in IMAX format. However, the movie will be releasing in 2D and 3D as well. With the Oscar winning AR Rahman for the music, 2.0 also features Amy Jackson in a prominent role and is expected to hit theatre screens for Diwali this year.
