Amitabh Bachchan to don different look for 'Aankhen 2'

Amitabh Bachchan was much appreciated for his performance in the 2002 thriller ‘Aankhen’. As he is all set to feature in the sequel, the actor will be seen in a very different look this time.

Gaurang Doshi, who is producing the film, told Absolute India, “We were very clear that we did not want to see a Bachchan who was meek and weak. We wanted the look to be on the lines of his Deewar and Hum days, when he was revered by the masses as their invincible on-screen hero. His look will be akin to a very stylized rockstar in the film. Mr Bachchan is a style icon in his own right but we felt that this look would be perfect in keeping with his very pivotal role in the film. It will no doubt go with his age but he will still look 20 years younger in this new look.”

Doshi went on to add, “I and famed international designer Asa Kazingmei, whom I have got on board, juggled several alternatives before we finalized this look.”

The producer also confirmed that Anees Bazmee, who will be directing the sequel, has approved the look.

‘Aankhen 2’ will star Bachchan alongside Anil Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Vidyut Jammwal, and others.
