10 things that Jallikattu protests re-defined

The fact that Tamil Nadu is on a state-wide bandh as a result of a comman-man triggered movement, is proof enough of the intense spirit of the protesting crowd. While the battle remains contentious between the supporters and adversaries of the bull-taming sport, the protest on the other hand has re-defined the rules of a public rally, where thousands gather.

1. Age is never a bar to stand up for what you believe in.

2. Determination precedes physical shortcomings.

When the lights were cut-off, this smart crowd put optimum utilisation into effect by flashing lights from their phones. 

5. With great power comes great responsibility.

Not only did the crowd stand tight, but they stood clean too. Here is a group of youngsters exhibiting their sense of environment by taking out the trash. 

6. Tradition trumps Caste, Creed and Religion.
