Nayanthara starrer Kolaiyuthir Kaalam achieves a milestone

Director Chakri Toleti's (of Unnaipol Oruvan and Billa 2 fame) upcoming movie Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, has recently achieved a milestone by becoming the first movie in the history of Tamil cinema, to use a Red Epic-W camera which comes with the resolution of 8K. Considered the most advanced in its category? the professional camera was launched only recently by the camera makers and has already been put into use by the team of Kolaiyuthir Kaalam. This has also placed the team to be one of the firsts in Indian cinema, to utilise the technology. It is worth mentioning that this is Nayanthara's second project to have achieved a milestone in recent times (One of her other projects Imaikaa Nodigal claimed to be the first ever Indian movie to shoot in an underground metro).

Popular Bollywood production house Pooja Entertainment Pvt Ltd (Vasu Bhagnani), is debuting in Kollywood by bankrolling this project. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be seen composing the tunes of this film. The technical team so far includes Hollywood cinematographer Robby Baumgartner and Rameshwar S Bhagat as the editor.
