S3 release postponed again?

It looks like the release date of the third edition in the Singam franchise has been pushed again. Earlier, it was rumoured that the movie will be hitting the screens on December 16 which was later changed to December 23 although there is no official announcement yet from the producer. The overseas distributors are hinting that the movie will hit the screens only in 2017 and the reason quoted is delay in the censor certification process.

Written and directed by Hari, the movie has Suriya, Anushka Shetty, Shruthi Haasan and Radhika Sarathkumar playing prominent roles. Produced by K.E Gnanavel Raja, S3 has Harris Jayaraj for the music, Priyan for cinematography and V.T Vijayan and T.S. Jay for the edits.
