MovieCrow Box Office Report - October 14 to 16

Sivakarthikeyan yet again proves that mixed reviews don't affect his films at the box office, as his latest offering Remo has become a Super Hit. Check out the box office ranking of Tamil movies in Chennai during last weekend.

1. Remo

There's no stopping Remo's successful run as it continued to be the No.1 choice of family audiences. The movie almost registered 100% occupancy level across major multiplexes in the city.

2. Devi

In spite of the favorable reviews, Prabhu Deva's Devi was clearly overpowered by Remo. However, the movie is holding on to sizable number of screens. It would be interesting to see if the movie picks up the momentum, now that the Remo craze has slightly come down.

3. Rekka

Vijay Sethupathi has missed the mark this time with Rekka, as the commercial potboiler couldn't neither please his fans nor the movie buffs. He still holds an impeccable record this year with 4 hits out of 5 films as a solo hero.

Other Movies

Director Lakshmy Ramakrishnan's Ammani received critical acclamation, but the movie opened to limited screens with poor occupancy levels. Vijay Sethupathi's Aandavan Kattalai was still running across a handful of multiplex screens.
