Why Director Shankar met Mahesh Babu?

Telugu heart-throb Mahesh Babu met director Shankar last week when 'Prince' made a day-trip to Chennai. Mahesh Babu and Shankar tried to work together earlier in '3 Idiots' remake in Telugu. For various reasons, it did not work out as Mahesh Babu took a rain-check to work with Shankar in the future.

Insiders strongly believe this should be related to a future Shankar movie. Since "I" is already in progress, there are two possibilities that exist. One option could be remaking "I" in Telugu with Mahesh Babu in the lead. We can probably dismiss this option since Vikram already has a sizable market in Telugu and Shankar's movie usually get a massive opening irrespective of star cast. So, the second probable option is Mahesh Babu enacting the lead role in the Hindi version of "I".

Vikram as Flamboyant Model

Since Vikram is playing the role of a flamboyant fashion model in "I", Shankar has been looking for somebody who has got the physique and great looks to do justice in Hindi. We had already published that Shankar has been in talks with Hrithik Roshan to remake the movie in Hindi. Due to Hrithik's dates booked out till 2014, Shankar may be considering Mahesh Babu who fits the bill to the T. This may be a great opportunity for Mahesh Babu since he has been looking for a launch pad for entering Hindi Industry with a good director.

We will know towards the end of this year, who will grab the opportunity for Hindi "I".
