Not Kabali 2 Says Pa Ranjith

Since the announcement of the Rajnikanth-Dhanush-Pa.Ranjith collaboration, the media has gone frenzy over reporting the same. Rumours went overboard when this next venture was reported to be a sequel to the latest blockbuster Kabali. However Pa. Ranjith, (director of Kabali) has put all these speculations to a rest. 

In a recent interview to a Tamil weekly, Ranjith has clarified that he would not be directing Kabali 2. He has also mentioned that the genre he has in mind for Rajnikanth's next is way different from the previous one. According to the report, the director has already given a one-liner to the his lead star. He is seemed to have gotten a positive response for it.

Apparently the director is not in the city currently and would start working on the script once back.
