Is STR's Love Anthem doomed?

STR's love anthem made a huge splash last year with teaser video release last December of 2011. STR was missing in action (MIA) for more than couple of months pushing all his Tamil movie commitments (including Vetrimaran's) in the back-burner while he got busy composing, singing and recording the love anthem songs.

No news about this project was heard during the last 6 months until last Thursday, when Love Anthem International Teaser popped up again. The teaser release sank without a trace and totally went unnoticed by fans and public. Only 30,000 views were registered on Youtube after 4 days which is substantially low given the stature of STR and fans on social media sites.

Another important thing to be noted is that the original successful teaser released last year showed Sony Music India prominently. But, the latest teasers do not have any reference to Sony Music. Insiders claim that Sony may have pulled out of this initiative some time ago and that is the reason for this project to be lying in the cans for almost 7 months now.

Secondly, the timing also appeared to be of interesting coincidence as it clashed with another big teaser and audio release of Maattrraan on the same day. If only STR had picked another day and time to release his international teaser, it may have been noticed and attracted a few more eyeballs.
