Ajith wins Chennai Times awards for best actor of 2011 


When it rains, it pours... Ajith has been sweeping the best actor awards in all the 2011 awards. Only remaining award is Filmfare awards to be announced next month. Will Thala make a clean sweep?

 

 

First Times of India Tamil Film Awards 2011


The first edition of the Chennai Times Film Awards celebrates the best in the Tamil film industryThe Chennai Times Film Awards instituted by The Times of India gave the platform to decide the best of Kollywood in 2011. After over a month of voting, the winners were selected based on jury and 7.9 lakh online votes... Ajith bagged the Best Actor Male award for his portrayal of the grey-shaded Vinayak Mahadevan in Mankatha.

  • Best Tamil Film of the Year Award - Ko, Aadukalam, Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai, Mayakkam Enna and Engeyum Eppodhum,
  • Best Actor category (Tamil) - Dhanush for Aadukalam, Vishal for Avan Ivan, Vikram for Deiva thirumagal, Surya for 7aum Arivu and Ajith for Mankatha
  • Best Actress category (Tamil) - Anushka for Deiva thirumagal, Anjali for Engeyum Eppodhum, Richa Gangopadhyay for Mayakkam Enna, Hansika Motwani for Engeyum Kadhal and Asin for Kaavalan.
